So honored to be have my latest cookbook featured at this lovely and fruit-full dinner at Piedmont Restaurant in downtown Durham NC. Chef Julio and his team at Piedmont will prepare a five-course menu inspired by Fruit: A Savor the South Cookbook from UNC Press.

I love the annual AFJ conference, which delivers provides extraordinary sessions on writing, journalism, ethics, business and workplace issues, and inspiration on writing, travel, and food. This year I’m thrilled to be a speaker, on ways to publicize and market cookbooks. I’ll join my colleagues Andrea Nguyen and Donna Battle Pierce to explore this topic.
